The Hallmarks of Excellence is an exclusive NLN tool to appreciate the nursing profession to a level of outstanding performance in the field towards which they aim. About 30 hallmarks of excellence were identified in nursing profession and finally they are streamlined, decreased from 8-10 irrespective of their achievements. Those include: students, faculty, continuous quality improvement, curriculum, educational plan and leadership environment.
